Earthquake of 6.0 magnitude shakes Bali

A powerful earthquake shakes Indonesia’s popular resort island of Bali on Thursday, forcing several people to flee from their homes and hotels in panic and fear.

But No tsunami alert was issued, and there were no immediate reports of injuries, while some roofs collapsed—and witnesses told local radio and television stations that they saw cracks in the walls of various buildings.

The U.S. Geological Survey said that the quake had a preliminary magnitude of 6.0 was centered 100 kilometres southwest of the island. It struck 60 kilometres beneath the ocean floor.
