Actress Freida Pinto now has a second blockbuster in her filmography, “Rise of the Planet” of the Apes after the release of her debut film Slumdog Millionaire.
The new film, released on Friday, is running successfully in the US, raking in a terrific opening amount of $54 million at box office in North America, way above the projected $40 million by trade pundits. Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a prequel to the popular Planet of the Apes movies made in the 60s, 70s and even by director Tim Burton in 2001.
