On Sunday night after claiming off waivers from Denver earlier this week, Quarterback Kyle Orton is inactive for the Chiefs’ game against Pittsburgh Orton, is among the Chiefs inactive against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and it means that he will not play.
As a fan of the Seattle Seahawks, I was hoping that Seattle might pick up Orton to give another quarterback choice. Sure, it would not have made that much sense considering the money involved, but the idea that Orton could come, if not as a starter than as a viable backup as Charlie Whitehurst showed that look more attractive.
Orton was the state of the subject of much discussion this week, but Tyler Palko QB heads with roles. He was named the starter earlier in the week after the move and now we know Orton QB Ricky Stanza it then, not Orton, as an accompaniment.
This means that leaders with Tyler Palko Ricky Stanza with its role as backup. I expect that Orton will play on the sidelines learning.
