Police killed carjackers in Makati shootout


Two carjackers were killed including three persons and two policemen in shootouts in Makati City this morning. Police identified one of the two murderer-carjackers as Dave Garcia.

Both suspects belonged to the Onad carjacking group, operating in Metro Manila, police said. One of the suspects was killed in a shootout with members of the National Capital Region Police Office-Regional Police Intelligence Operations Unitm, while on board a stolen vehicle, a Ford Escape with plate number ZBX 640, at the corner of Urban Street and Buendia Avenue around 4 a.m.

Police was seized from the vehicle four firearms including two 45 pistols, a 38 revolver and a 9mm pistol. The second suspect, who has to be identified, was also killed in another shootout with the same police team on a creek near the Makati City Central Post Office along Tindalo Street, Barangay San Antonio.

Superintendent Jaime Santos, Makati City police chief, said two police officers.Inspector Joselito Sabar and Police Officer 1 Muslid Palawan – and a passerby were injured in the shooting.

Sabar, the suspect followed the stream and Palawan have been taken to the Makati Medical Center.

Clearing operations are underway along the avenue. The police spent a minimum of 26 mussels from the sites of two games won.
Meanwhile, Santos said that sometimes they Buendia avenue open for vehicles.

Radio reports said that the traffic is heavy on the avenue because of the shooting
