Interestingly coronation Street star Natalie Gumede received a standing ovation on the first night of Strictly Come Dancing 2014 this evening.
It is mentionable that the 29-year-old TV star performed a sensational cha cha to Rasputin by Boney M with her partner Artem Chigvintsev.
While, the pair’s performance stole the show and got the highest marks of the night, followed by joint second placed contestants Susanna Reid and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
Typically critical judge Craig Revel Horwood said Natalie was the front runner for the show already.
He said: “You are a brilliant dancer and so far our front runner.”
Although judge Darcey Bussell said: “I was so not expecting that much detail in your first dance.”
BBC Newsreader Susanna and popstar Sophie Ellis Bextor also dazzled on the first night of Strictly 2013.
Susanna and Reid her partner Kevin Clifton put in a sizzling and energetic jive dance to Shake Your Tailfeather by The Blues Brothers.
Darcey said she can’t wait to see what Susanna does next week while Bruno Tonioli said Susanna can really “shake it”.
But murder On The Dancefloor singer Sophie and Brendan Cole put in a stunning waltz to the tune of Moon River by Audrey Hepburn. Sophie and Brendan received glowing praise from the judges, sharing the second joint highest score of 28 with Susannah and Kevin. [ express.co.uk ]
