The fourth and final defendant in the murder of an Edgewood man who was killed after placing a Craigslist and was given a life sentence in prison on Friday.
A judge sentenced Clabon Berniard over 123 years in prison for his conviction of murder, assault, theft and burglary.
Berniard, like the three other defendants in the case took part in the botched theft and murder indicted Jim Sanders.
Sanders, 43, was shot in Berniard and three others broke into his home after claiming the interest on the purchase of a ring that he had listed on the Craigslist Web site in April last year. Female, Sanders, Charlene and her 14 – and 10-year old son were in the apartment in Edgewood in the attack.
Also convicted in the case were sentenced Kiyoshi Higashi, to 109 years, Joshua Reece, was sentenced to 100 years, and Amanda Knight, who received a sentence of 71 years.
