A U.S. Predator drone and French aircraft on Thursday morning attacked a convoy of more than 100 vehicles, fleeing west out of Muammar Gaddafi’s hometown.
The convoy tried to evade the warplanes by splitting into smaller groups, but at least 15 of them were hit and killed. The vehicle, which turned out to be carrying Gaddafi, was damaged but not destroyed.
Qaddafi and his bodyguards abandoned the vehicle and took coverage in drainage pipes running under the highway where they were attacked by a band of anti-Qaddafi fighters.
Already decorated with graffiti, where it is al-Gaddafi, who once lived in all its glory, made his last stand. Who shot him is still a mystery.
According to a report, it was his own bodyguards, seen by those who died on the ground, presumably to save him from capture. Until the end was fantastic, with a Golden Gun Gaddafi, who is now a trophy for the rebels who did not stand a chance against eight months ago, one of the most repressive regimes in the world is armed.
